Okay, So You Have Photographs, Now What?
I find that one of the best ways to view my photographs and to share them with others is to post them on the internet. I have my own web site – www.prairiejournal.com – where I post photographs of past shows. Since 2014, I have been posting all new photos on my Flickr site.
You can also submit photographs to www.spaceweather.com as this site will feature photographs from recent shows.
You can also put your photographs in photo albums, or make enlargements and frame them to display in your home or office.
Another option would be to submit them right away to magazines or web sites for possible use. If your goal is to get your photographs published, remember that "the early bird OFTEN gets the worm."
One of the side benefits of sharing photographs is that I have received a lot of e-mail messages from people who enjoy looking at photographs of the northern lights. Often they are wowed by the beauty of the northern lights in North Dakota. And obviously, it brings back lots of memories to former North Dakotans.
In addition, I have made a lot of new friends with northern lights photographers and enthusiasts from around the world. I now have a small e-mail community of friends who are some of the greatest people in the world!
