I always find this scene interesting - which was taken about 45 minutes to 1 hour before sunrise looking south-southwest. On the horizon, you can see the lights of north Mandan by the Seven Seas. This scene shows - in a sense - the closeness of the country to the big city.

Two males work to get the attention of the female. The males are the ones on the right - showing off.

A trio of pasque flowers - signifying that spring is here!

My blind. The lek is just to the left. In the background, you can see the Missouri River Valley - in the line of trees from left to right. You can't see the water of the river from here (I would need to be on a different angle or on a higher elevation). You can also see some remnants of winter - with the snow - and also some of the wind turbines in Oliver County.
